"Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Come and share your master’s happiness" --Matthew 25:21

When we face our maker we all want to hear our Lord say this to us.  Our obedience to his voice is where we start. I would like to share a testimony as a result of our being obedient and setting up a table at the Hope Event in Central Islip this past June. We knew it was going to be a very hot day and were debating if we should go, but kept hearing that voice of the Lord that we had to be there.  So we packed our car and went.  One of the items we had on our table are these little rubber babies that are the size of a 10-12 week old preborn baby.  It’s a great tool to use when you want to raise awareness about the size of an unborn baby and discuss the early stages of fetal development. Everyone was taking one including a pastor’s wife from the area. Little did we know at that time God would use this little rubber baby for His glory.

Here is the testimony I received from the pastor’s wife when she called that following Monday. “As I was preparing for Church this past Sunday the Lord spoke to me and said someone I know wants to have an abortion.  

While waiting for service to begin I pulled out the little rubber baby I had picked up at the Hope Event when one of my congregants came over and asked what it was that I was holding.

I told her it was a 12-week-old preborn baby and she began to cry.  She told me her teenage granddaughter was pregnant and that her daughter (the teenagers mom) wanted her daughter to have an abortion.  The grandmother was crying, as she did not want her granddaughter to have the abortion.  I gave her the rubber baby and told her to show it to her daughter when she got home.  Sure enough she did show her and seeing how this little 10 week old preborn looked so much like a baby with arms and legs, fingers, toes, a face with eyes, nose and a mouth and a heart that was beating made the mom breakdown and cry.  At that moment she decided to help her daughter through her pregnancy and told her not to have an abortion.”

This pastor heard God’s voice and was obedient and put that rubber baby in her pocket, BOLPC was obedient when God said to be part of the Hope Event and bring the rubber babies, you were obedient when you heard God say donate to BOLPC so we could buy the rubber babies, and when you obeyed and prayed against abortion God heard and answered. We just never know what God will use to save a baby.  I thank God I brought those little rubber babies to the Hope Event!!  All we need to do is be obedient to what God tells us to do and the Holy Spirit does the rest.  All of you had a part in this baby save whether is was your donation, your volunteering your precious hours to help at the center, or your faithful prayers, we can be full of joy for a life saved.
